Melatonin is a substance involved in the regulation of the body's circadian rhythms and ultracircadian rhythms, such as photoperiodic responses (seasonal responses to variations in the duration of daily light).

Melatonin is produced in the body with a circadian rhythm: the light stimulus to the retina inhibits its secretion while the dark instead stimulates its release. Melatonin contributes to the reduction of the time required to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by taking 1 mg of melatonin just before bedtime.

Melatonin contributes to normalizing the sleep rhythm in particular that of shift workers or that altered due to sudden changes in time zones (jet lag). In fact, melatonin helps to alleviate the effects of jet lag. The beneficial effect is obtained by taking a minimum of 0.5 mg of melatonin shortly before going to bed on the first day of travel and for a few days after arrival at the destination.

COMPOSITION

Melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine); Bulking agents: dibasic calcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose. Anti-caking agent: Vegetable magnesium stearate. Thickener: sodium carboxymethylcellulose.

USAGE CAUTIONS

Do not use during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use before driving or operating machinery.

HOW TO USE

1 tablet per day
preferably with meals
Swallow one tablet a day, with water, just before bedtime.
