Stopper is effectively used in case of accelerated intestinal transit (acute and chronic diarrhea), in the presence of ileostomy or ileoanoanastomosis or in the outcome of digestive system surgery, including obesity surgery, in case of irritable bowel diarrheal alvo. in case of “traveler's diarrhea” or to improve fecal continence in the presence of fluid alvo. The quantity of 1 sachet contains 3.00 g of Diosmectite.
How to use the Granular Stopper
The quantity of Stopper to be taken daily is variable and depends on the individual conditions of the Patient and / or on the opinion of the Doctor. Indicatively:
- in acute diarrhea, 1-2 sachets after each discharge;
- in faecal incontinence and chronic diarrhea, 1 to 3 sachets per day, starting with 1 sachet and gradually increasing the ration, to prevent an unbalanced increase in fecal consistency.
The product is in oral suspension, already dosed, it can therefore be taken as it is or diluted in an equal amount of water.
Taking in childhood:
- children over 6 years of age: 2 - 3 sachets per day;
- children older than 1 year: 1 - 2 sachets per day.
Interactions with Granular Stopper
Cardiac glycosides, alkaloids, estrogens, chloroquine, clindamycin, digoxin, lincomycin.
Warnings before using Granular Stopper
It is recommended to take the product at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after the drugs, in particular during therapy with the aforementioned drugs. If the symptom does not go away, consult your doctor.
Side Effects for Granular Stopper
Constipation.

Hypersensitivity to Diosmectite. Diarrhea secondary to pseudomembranous enterocolitis and in general to serious organic pathologies of the gastrointestinal tuber.
