Hydrosorb Gel

CE class IIb sterile medical device .

Clear and viscous gel based on glycerin and Ringer's solution. Keeps the wound moist, aiding the healing process. It is packaged in 15 g or 8 g syringes with an "inverse" graduated scale to immediately determine the amount of gel used and remaining.

Equipped with protective cap and long spout for positioning the gel in cavity wounds. Sterilized and packaged in an aseptic environment. The gel is steam sterilized and has a pH of 5.00 –7.50. Indicated for the moist treatment of superficial or deep wounds with little exudate (eg leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and 1st degree burns).

Hydrosorb Gel is indicated as a support for autolytic debridement. In the presence of necrosis Hydrosorb Gel allows to soften it for easy removal. On already irreversibly damaged tissue, it could be observed in the first moments of the application of Hydrosorb; Gel, the dilation of the lesion: this is a signal of the beginning of the healing process. It can be left on the wound for up to three days. Hydrosorb Gel cannot be used on multiple patients and any unused gel should be discarded.

Contraindication
Hydrosorb Gel is not suitable for infected wounds, therefore it is recommended to use it under clinical supervision and for third degree burns. Hydrosorb Gel is not to be used on patients sensitive to one or more components.

How to use

• The wound bed should be covered with an approximately 5 mm layer of gel and covered with an appropriate secondary dressing: it can remain in place for up to 3 days.
• At the time of dressing change, wash the wound according to the protocol in use: it is recommended to use sterile Ringer's solution or other sterile detergent solution.
• Removal does not alter the wound.

storage
Store in original packaging, at a temperature between 5 ° C and 40 ° C.
The product correctly stored and in unopened package has a useful life of 36 months.

Components
Glycerine; hydroxyethylcellulose; carboxymethylcellulose; carbomer; composition Water: Water with an electrolytic composition based on Ringer's solution (minimum 80%).

Format
Individually sterile packed in syringes with safety cap and "inverse" graduated scale. Each syringe is placed in a transparent airtight bag.
