Polyurethane foam dressing

Polyurethane foam with adhesive edge. Suitable for use under compression.

PermaFoam has a hypoallergenic adhesive film around the edges for safe and germ-proof fixation

Indications:
- for acute, infected, lacerated injuries;
- for lesions with abundant exudate in the cleansing and granulation phase;
- for pressure ulcers, venous ulcers and diabetic foot.
Ideal as a dressing under an elastic compression bandage.

Characteristics:
- sterile, with self-adhesive edge, in polyurethane foam with a protective polyurethane coating permeable to gases and impermeable to liquids and germs;
- skin-friendly polyacrylate edge adhesive;
- the decreasing porous gradient of the foam, from the wound bed towards the external layer, guarantees a high and fast capacity to absorb the exudate which reduces the risk of maceration of the periwound skin;
- latex free;
- keeps the wound environment moist and stimulates the healing process;
- high retention capacity of exudate and high vapor permeability; protects against secondary infections and provides oxygenation of the cells;
- reduced irritation of the wound edges and greater conformability, good adhesion of the dressing to the wound bed.
