It is a member of the carotenoid family with antioxidant properties. It is found in red fruits such as watermelon and pink grapefruit and gives the intense red color to tomatoes. In humans, it is one of the most abundant carotenoids, found in blood serum and body tissues, and is an antioxidant that plays an important role in the diet.

How to use
