INTRODUCTION

How does Doppler work?

The Doppler sends high frequency signals (ultrasound = inaudible frequencies) and receives reflected (audible) signals containing processed information
the technique is the same used in ultrasound scans, but in our case, the powers involved are extremely low since we only use audio information and not video information
these reflected waves (signals) contain information that allows us to hear different noises coming from the uterus including the heartbeat of the fetus.

Is Doppler Safe?

HEART OF BABY is not to be confused with ultrasound scanners that also show images of your baby, in fact they use extremely low power ultrasounds and that is why they work with a simple battery for home use.

CHARACTERISTICS

It allows you to listen to the sounds of your baby in his movements, sobbing, kicking and especially his heart.
It takes advantage of the extremely low power ultrasonic Doppler effect but it is NOT a simple microphone that would amplify anything.
Sophisticated technology that allows you to hear the heartbeat of your baby in an unmistakable way that cannot be confused with your own as the heartbeat of the fetus is much faster as it has a frequency of 140-170 beats per minute and resembles the sound of a galloping horse.
CUORE DI BIMBO is supplied with conductive gel to be applied in the positioning area of the apparatus, although it is possible to use water rather than conductive gel, it is advisable to use the gel for its ability to improve the sensitivity of the Doppler effect.
You can hear the heartbeat of the fetus even starting from the twelfth week although it is to be considered "very early" some future mothers have succeeded.
The "not feeling" must absolutely not worry since the ideal period, to begin to feel it, is around the 14th / 15th week.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

To familiarize yourself with the search for the fetal heartbeat, it is useful to take BABY HEART with you during one of the visits to the gynecologist or midwife, so that they can give you some suggestions on how to search for it.

In any case

• A full bladder can make listening easier, especially in the early stages of pregnancy
• Before using CUORE DI BIMBO it may be helpful to eat something sweet, even just a sugary candy
• The Doppler must be moved slowly and after each movement one must stop for a few seconds to have a good signal reflected
• Since the fetus is in motion and often not in the same position, new research may be needed in a short time.
• Don't panic if you can't catch the fetus's heartbeat immediately as some days it may be easier to hear it and in others less so because sometimes they hide.

NB

If during pregnancy you feel bad, feel something wrong, bleed or feel the fetus not move for several consecutive days, consult your obstetrician or gynecologist or go to the hospital immediately.
The Doppler is intended for home use and for personal pleasure.
It does not in any way replace the role of your doctor.

HOW TO USE

In order to register

• It is sufficient to connect the supplied cable, on one side to any of the two CUORE DI BIMBO sockets and on the other to the recorder or to the audio input of the computer.
• In the same way it is possible to record the mother's heartbeat which, if played to the baby after birth, will have an extraordinary calming effect on him.

To listen and get good results, it is recommended to place yourself in a very quiet environment

• Open the flap under HEART OF CHILD
• Remove the supplied 9 volt battery
• Remove the protective film, connect it to the clips and put it back in its compartment
• Close the flap
• Insert the headphones supplied into any of the two special sockets (it is also possible to use a second headphones, the standard ones)
• Apply plenty of gel to the center of the pubis, rather at the bottom, as the weeks go by it will rise
• Place BABY HEART over the gel
• Turn it on and set the volume to maximum by turning the wheel clockwise
• Wait about ten seconds and start listening
• Adjust the volume for best listening.

NB

If you hear only a rustle, move BIMBO'S HEART slowly to the left by 2 cm at a time and stop and listen for ten seconds after each movement.
Repeat the operation in the center and then to the right, always very slowly, stopping each time to listen for ten seconds until, finding the position of the fetus, you can hear the heartbeat.
Do not confuse your heartbeat with that of the fetus as his beats much faster and almost seems like a gallop and is not always constant varying depending on the time of day, the amount of movements and even the mood of the mother.
