Imagined in 1951 by Edmond Roudnitska around a floral spicy citrus theme, Eau d'Hermès is the maison's first perfume. It is inspired by the evocation of a wonderful smell: 'the inside of a Hermès bag in which the aroma of a perfume lingered ... a note of fine leather wrapped in fresh scents of citrus and spices ", commented the creator then- composer.
