Herpes Patch Profar®

Round patches of 1.5 cm in diameter indicated to promote and accelerate the healing of cold sores .

The application of the disk on the area affected by Herpes:

  1. It soothes the discomfort caused by the infection
  2. Accelerate the healing process
  3. It reduces the chances of contagion
  4. Enhance the aesthetic appearance

The discs are in soft polyurethane, treated with hypoallergenic adhesive, in which Tea Tree oil is dispersed, an essential oil obtained from the distillation of Melaleuca alternifolia leaves, recognized for centuries for its natural antiseptic properties.

In this way, the main function of protection, to and from the external environment, necessary to reduce the possibility of contagion, has been integrated with the ancillary function of bacterial control of the microenvironment concerned.

Herpes Labial (also known as "Lip Fever ") is an infectious disease caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus that mainly affects the area around the lips but can also affect other areas of the face such as cheeks or nose.

The infection occurs by direct contact (kisses, saliva) with an infected person and, after being infected, our body is no longer able to eradicate the virus.

This happens because Herpes Simplex has the ability to take refuge in the "neuronal ganglia" near the site of infection, making itself invisible to the immune system and entering a state of latency that can last for years.

In all this time the subject has no symptoms but it can happen that, in particular periods of stress, weakness, immune deficiencies, the virus perceives the possibility of exposing itself, comes out and manifests itself, causing common lesions (blisters, redness) and the typical tingling / burning that anyone who has experienced at least once knows very well.

The "active" virus penetrates into the epithelial cells exploiting the reproductive mechanisms of the same to multiply and, in this way, causing their death. The symptoms are therefore a consequence of the epithelial lesions.

We have seen that the virus can remain dormant for a long time.
