Horsetail (Equisetum arvense), also called "horsetail", is one of the best known medicinal plants in phytotherapy.
Its main health use is closely related to the silica content.
This trace element intervenes in the formation of connective tissue: it facilitates the formation of the bond between proteins and mucopolysaccharides and helps to keep joint cartilages and vessel walls intact, promotes bone repair and the uptake of other minerals in the bones.
