Hyiodine

CLASS IIB MEDICAL DEVICE


Primary medication for the management of both acute and chronic skin lesions, infected or at risk of infection such as, for example, pressure ulcers, surgical dehiscence or ulcers of diabetic origin and vascular insufficiency. Particularly indicated for the treatment of extensive and deep lesions, fistulas and undermining.

Dosage and method of use
Hyiodine is a reusable product (up to 25 applications per bottle) to be applied directly on the wound bed or on the dressing in contact with it.Recommended amount per dressing:
- dressing support 5x5cm = 2 ml approx.
- Dressing support 10x10cm = 7-8ml approx.
In the presence of infection, it is recommended to change the dressing daily. In the subsequent phase or in the absence of colonization, the dressing can be replaced with a frequency of 2 or 3 times a week.

Characteristics
Sterile dressing for covering, cleansing and hydrating skin lesions; viscous solution of red / brown color. The balanced association of the KI + I2 compound protects hyaluronic acid from bacterial action, allowing its effectiveness to be exploited even in the case of an infected lesion. At the same time, sodium hyaluronate buffers the histological action of iodine without affecting its antiseptic one.
- Helps to create the ideal microclimate and stimulates, by hydrophilicity, an effective autolytic cleansing process of the lesion bed.
- Provides a broad spectrum antimicrobial action, with particular efficacy against staphylococcus aureus and pseudomonas aeruginosa.
- Promotes angiogenesis, proliferation and migration of fibroblasts and keratinocytes.
- Organize the structure of the extracellular matrix.
- Helps to reduce the extent of scarring, accelerating epithelialization.
- Specific laboratory tests have proved that the Iodine-Sodium Hyaluronate compound of Hyiodine has no harmful effect on the metabolic and proliferative processes of the tested cells (Keratinocytes, Monocytes and Neutrophils).
- Product quality: as per ISO 13485 standard and certificates and 93/42 / EEC Directive, Appendix II.

Contraindications
There is no known contraindication for local application of disodium hyaluronate.

Warnings
The product should not be used in case of known sensitivity to iodine, in case of pregnancy or breastfeeding and in patients with thyroid disorders unless under direct medical supervision. The product is indicated for topical use only and must not be associated with other substances, especially cationic compounds, topical antibiotics, polysaccharides and preservatives often present in products for cleansing.

Store in a dry place protected from direct light, at a temperature between 2 ° C and 25 ° C.
Shelf life 24 months.
After opening, keep refrigerated and use within 6 weeks.
