HYIODINE

Hyiodine is a class IIB medical device, in a viscous solution, indicated for the treatment of both acute and chronic wounds, even in the presence of critical bacterial colonization. Its fluid gel structure makes it a particularly practical product in the treatment of fistulas, phlegmon, cavity lesions, dehiscences and undermining. The effectiveness of the product is based on the synergistic action of Sodium Hyaluronate combined with a calibrated Iodate compound which is proven to be non-histolesive. While Sodium Hyaluronate triggers the exacerbation of the wound, promoting the processes of tissue neo-genesis and the autolysis of spurious tissues, the balanced iodate complex protects it from the phagocytosis of bacterial enzymes by providing a broad spectrum antimicrobial action.

Hyiodine is suitable for the treatment of the following wound types:

- Diabetic foot injuries

- Wounds that fail to heal following surgery

- Leg ulcers

- Bedsores

- Wounds with complications from fistulas

- Acute wounds (cuts, lacerations)

- Superficial burns (type II ab)

Hyiodine is sold in packs of 50 g and 22 g. Each pack is sufficient for different treatments, depending on the size of the wound to be healed. For example, a 50 g pack is sufficient for one month of daily application in the treatment of 5 × 5 cm wounds.

For the purpose of the application, when purchasing Hyiodine, it is also advisable to purchase the normal square-shaped gauze pads (of a size suitable for the wound) and various commonly used syringes to facilitate the removal of the gel from the bottle.
