HYLO DUAL INTENSE® Hylo Eye Care Solution Ophthalmic Use

Hylo Dual Intense is a sterile, preservative-free solution for ophthalmic use. It is used for intensive therapeutic lubrication of the dry ocular surface and for stabilization of the tear film. Relieves inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning.

Burning and itchy eyes, watery eyes, a foreign body sensation in the eye or dryness are symptoms of a sore eye. Often these signs indicate that the eye is not sufficiently hydrated. Thanks to the double action mechanism of sodium hyaluronate and ectoin, the application of Hylo Dul Intense, in these cases, is particularly beneficial. The product contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance present in many organs of the human body, including the eye. It has the particular physical characteristic of forming a uniform, stable and long-lasting wetting film that is not easily removed after rinsing.

Thanks to these bio-adhesive characteristics, the cornea and the conjunctiva are protected and guarantee, together with the natural tears, a better glide of the eyelid on the eye. Hylo Dual Intense has a particularly high content of sodium hyaluronate, which gives it high viscosity.

The eye is thus equipped with a soothing humectant film with a particularly intensive action and for a prolonged period of time. Persistent or more severe complaints are alleviated and the eye is protected against further irritation. Ectoin is a natural substance extracted from microorganisms that live in extreme environments (such as salt lakes).

To protect themselves from extreme environmental factors, these microorganisms produce ectoin, a natural substance whose special properties are used in Hylo Dual Intense. Ectoin increases the adhesion of water to the cells of the ocular surface, thus creating a physiological barrier on the conjunctiva. At the same time, ectoin stabilizes the fat-soluble portion of the tear film, which protects against excessive evaporation of tears.

Thanks to the interaction between sodium hyaluronate and ectoin, a dense humectant film is created on the eye that protects against evaporation of tears for a long period of time.

Hylo Dual Intense relieves typical inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning caused by environmental irritants.

How to use

Remove the cap before use. To remove the cap, hold it firmly with one hand and rotate the bottle downwards with the other. Before the first application of Hylo Dual Intense, invert the bottle with the dropper down and press the bottom of the bottle to release the first drop from the dropper. The bottle is now ready to use for subsequent applications. Hold the bottle upside down by placing your thumb on the top of the bottle and your other fingers on the bottom of the bottle. Support the hand holding the bottle made with the Comod technique with your free hand. Slightly tilt your head back, with your free hand gently pull the lower lid down and press quickly and firmly on the bottom of the bottle. The mechanism for releasing a drop is thus activated. Thanks to the special valve mechanism of the Comod system, the size and speed of release of a drop are always the same, regardless of the pressure applied. Slowly close your eyes to allow the fluid to spread evenly over the ocular surface. After use, immediately close the bottle with the cap, making sure that there is no liquid residue on the dropper. During instillation avoid any contact between the dropper of the bottle with the eye or with the skin of the face.
The Comod system releases 10 ml of solution, equivalent to about 300 drops. For technical reasons, a small amount of solution always remains in the bottle after use. The use of Hylo Dual Intense has no limited duration.
Hylo Dual Intense must be used in accordance with these instructions for use or in individual cases, as directed by your doctor. In general, for adults and children over 6 years, 1 drop of Hylo Dual Intense is applied 3 times a day in the conjunctival sac of each eye.
During pregnancy and lactation and in children under 12 years Hylo Dual Intense should not be administered more than 10 times a day.

Components

1 ml of Hylo Dual Intense contains 2 mg of sodium hyaluronate, 20 mg of ectoin, boric acid, borax and water for injections.

Warnings

Use only if the outer packaging is sealed and intact before use.
The bottle should be intended for the treatment of one person only.
If you use any other eye drops, wait at least 30 minutes between applications and always use Hylo Dual Intense last. However, ophthalmic ointments should not be used when using Hylo Dual Intense.
As Hylo Dual Intense eye drops contain no preservatives, a long-lasting treatment is particularly well tolerated. In very rare cases hypersensitivity reactions (burning, excessive tearing) have been observed, which however disappear immediately upon stopping the administration of Hylo Dual Intense.
Hylo Dual Intense cannot be used while wearing contact lenses: due to the viscosity of the preparation, the application of the product may result in a transient blurred vision.
There is currently no information available on the use of Hylo Dual Intense in children or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Based on current knowledge, Hylo Dual Intense can be used in children over 6 years of age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Hylo Dual Intense is suitable for long-term use; however, as in the case of any other condition, if the complaints persist (for example more than two weeks), it is advisable to consult an ophthalmologist.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one of the components and in children under 6 years.
If you were to use Hylo Dual Intense more frequently (for example more than 10 times a day) and in the case of more serious ailments, you should consult an ophthalmologist to have your eyes examined regularly.
Do not use while wearing contact lenses.
Do not use after the expiration date.
Keep out of reach of children.
