What is it?

Hypericum perforatum, or "St. John's Wort", is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Hypericaceae family very common in Italy, Europe, Western Asia and North Africa, on whose leaves grow small secretory sacs, similar to tiny flowers .

Hypericum has various therapeutic anti-inflammatory, antiseptic (due to essential oils), healing, analgesic, diuretic, purifying, antioxidant, vasoprotective properties, but above all it is known antidepressant activity.
The antidepressant property of hypericum is attributable to the content of substances such as hypericin, hyperforin and some classes of flavonoids, particularly present in the leaves and flowering tops. The combined action of these substances favors the levels of serotonin in the central nervous system, thus stimulating organic antidepressant farming, which counteracts mood disorders and helps restore emotional balance.
It also acts on nervous system disorders that cause fatigue and lethargy; neuralgia, neuritis, inflammation of the sciatic nerve that causes pain along the entire path of the nerve, tingling, burning and numbness.
