Echinacea, thanks to its immunostimulating properties, is one of the most sought after medicinal plants in the Italian phytotherapeutic panorama. The term Echinacea commonly indicates the roots, rhizome and aerial parts of some plants native to the temperate zones of North America. Nine species belong to this genus but only three of them are used for commercial purposes: Echinaceapurpurea, Echinaceapallida and Echinaceaangustifolia. The latter was used by the Indians of South Dakota to promote wound healing and treat syphilis and snake bites. Echinacea The growing interest in Echinacea stems from its ability, largely confirmed by pharmacological studies, to increase resistance to infections. In particular, this plant has proved particularly useful in influenza states and in the prevention of colds. Its pharmacological activities are comparable to the set of several constituents, for this reason the single active principles that support them are not known with certainty. This allows us to open a small parenthesis on the concept of active principle and on that of phytocomplex. The active ingredient is the known agent that determines the therapeutic actions of a drug or medicinal plant. The phytocomplex is the set of molecules extracted directly from the natural source, including the active ingredient. All these substances are responsible for the therapeutic action of the source, which is the same as the active ingredient contained therein, but generally devoid of the contraindications associated with its use. All this is made possible by the synergistic action exerted by the various substances, which help to modulate the properties of the active principle making it more suitable for herbal use than pharmacological.

Alcohol, water, extracts of: ECHINACEA (Echinacea angustifolia Heller) root, CALENDULA (Calendula officinalis L.) flowering tops, RAFANO (Armoracia rusticana Gaertn.) Root, CONDURANGO (Marsdenia condurango Nich.) Bark, CHINA (Cinchona officinalis L.) bark.

Dosage:
30 drops 3 times a day, in half a glass of water, 10 minutes before meals.

90 drops make available: Echinacea 263 mg, Calendula 75 mg, Horseradish 34 mg, Condurango 2 mg, China 1 mg.

INFLUENCE:
Immuno-Herb® (S48 Echinacea c.): 30 drops in water 3 times a day before meals.
Reno-Dren®: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) in a glass of water 2 times a day 10 minutes before meals.
C 2000®: 1 tablet per day to be dissolved slowly in the mouth, or chewed, after meals.

Immuno-Herb® (S48 Echinacea c.): 30 drops in water 3 times a day 10 minutes before meals,
Dreno-Herb® (S65 Solidago c.): 30 drops in water 2 times a day 10 minutes before meals.
Propol Mix 1® * or Propol Mix 2®: 30 drops in water 3 times a day after meals. * Contraindicated in case of ulcer, gastritis, arterial hypertension and insomnia.
