Infofer SMP Pharma Food Supplement

Food supplement recommended for deficiencies of Iron, Carnosine, ATP, Lactoferrin, and Vitamins of the BC group.

Components and Features

Iron : as iron² + (iron glycerophosphate), it is the best known and discussed micro-food as it enters the red blood cell formation cycle and the oxygen transport cycle. Iron supplementation with enriched formulas as well as a varied diet prevents the development of iron deficiency anemias. An optimal intake of iron in childhood is positively associated with growth and psycho-intellectual development indices. It is also important to guarantee tissue turnover, especially in subjects who make prolonged physical efforts.

Lactoferrin : is an iron-binding glycoprotein enabled for iron transport, belonging to the transferrin family and found in high concentrations in breast milk. There are over two thousand studies published on the different biological functions of this glycoprotein and from these it is clear that in addition to the iron transport action, lactoferrin is a natural antioxidant and a powerful activator of natural-killer cells, plays an important role in defense. immune system, has an immunostimulating action and inhibits the release of histamine from the masb cells both in vitro and in vivo.

Carnosine : is a dipeptide composed of β-alanine and L-histidine, present above all in the muscle and in the cerveilo where it mainly has a neutralizing action on free radicals. Carnosine represents for our organism an important regulator of cellular metabolism and also intervenes in the protection of said membranes of excitable cells. It does not have a well-defined metabolic role, however, according to some studies it is effective in preventing the pathological modification of proteins (glycosidation with consequent formation of AGEs - advanced glycosylated end products - compounds that have a harmful effect on cellular functions, as well as increase the formation of free radicals) and has the ability to rejuvenate cells late in their life cycle.

ATP : it is a nutritional element of great importance for metabolic purposes as almost all cellular reactions and processes of the organism that require energy are powered by the conversion of ATP into ADP; these include, for example, the transmission of nerve impulses, muscle contraction, active transports across plasma membranes, protein synthesis and cell division.

B vitamins (B2, B6, B12, folic acid) : these are water-soluble vitamins and act as co-enzymes in most of the metabolic processes of energy production. They are particularly important in cell division, as a carbon carrier in the formation of heme present in hemoglobin, a protein essential for the formation of red blood cells and for the storage of iron in muscles. They are also necessary for the synthesis of nucleic acids,
essential in the processes of growth and reproduction of the cells of the body as well as for a correct functioning of the brain, concentrating in the cerebro-spinal and extracellular fluid.

Vitamin C : or ascorbic acid is a water-soluble vitamin that presents essential characteristics for humans, which means that it must be compulsorily supplied from the outside. Vitamin C has a well-known role in the formation of collagen but also plays, as better understood only in fairly recent times, many other functions in the organism being involved in numerous biochemical steps and influencing many enzymatic activities and physiological processes such as promoting the absorption of iron and its transfer to ferritin.
