INFUSION SET
Description
The "BL-DEFLL" disposable sterile infusion set is classified as a Class IIa medical device.
Disposable infusion sets are used for the administration of intravenous solutions into the circulatory system (infusion) via peripheral veins, and are suitable for gravity-fed infusions. They are intended for short-term use.
How to use
A. Set with integrated air inlet
1. Close flow regulator.
2. Remove the protective cap from the tip and insert the tip into the container of infusion solution to its full length.
3. Squeeze drip chamber and adjust fluid level.
4. Remove the protective cap from the intravenous needle or distal luer/luer lock connector and open the flow regulator. Expel the air from the PVC tube and close the regulator.
5. Insert the needle into the vein or connect the infusion set to an intravenous catheter and adjust the flow rate using the regulator. 20 drops form 1ml ± 0.1ml.
6. On collapsible infusion solution containers, leave the air inlet closed.
B. Set with separate air inlet for use with rigid glass containers/bottles
1. Close the flow regulator.
2. Remove the protective cap from the metal needle of the set and insert it into the solution for infusion container to its full length.
3. Remove the protective cap from the inhaler needle and insert it to its full length into the infusion solution container.
4. Tighten drip chamber and adjust fluid level.
5. Remove the protective cap from the intravenous needle and open the flow regulator. Expel the air from the PVC tube and close the regulator.
6. Insert the needle into the vein and adjust the flow rate using the regulator. 20 drops form 1 ml ± 0.1 ml.
