BERBERINE: It is a plant alkaloid active in the reduction of the reduction of hypercholesterolemia. Berberine works differently from statins; while these drugs decrease the synthesis of endogenous cholesterol, berberine up-regulates the activity of the liver LDL receptors "removing" bad cholesterol from the blood. It has been demonstrated in numerous clinical studies (Nature Medicine 2014) the decrease of about 30% in plasma cholesterol and triglyceride values in three months. Recent studies have also highlighted its hypoglycemic efficacy by increasing the expression of insulin receptors. It decreases the absorption of glucose by inhibiting alpha-glucomidase.

L-ARGININE: Precursor of nitric oxide, a substance that determines the vasodilation of blood vessels. Useful in medical pathologies that improve with the dilation of the vessels.

L-CARNITINE: It supports the consumption of fats and the transport of fatty acids.

SPIRULINA: Rich in essential amino acids, Omega 3, Omega 6, Vit. A, D, K. Reduces the sense of hunger thanks to the content of Phenyl - Alanine which by acting on the nervous system induces a sense of satiety.
The presence of Omega 3 and Omega 6 helps to regulate the level of plasma triglycerides.

FERMENTED RED RICE: Obtained from the fermentation of common cooking rice by a particular yeast, the Monascus purpereus or red yeast. During its fermentation this yeast is enriched with a group of substances, monacolins, among which monacolin K stands out, which reflects the same chemical structure and the same pharmacological action of lovostatin but with the total absence of side effects.
Similarly to these pharmaceutical products, monacolin K in red rice is able to inhibit HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of cholesterol.

EUPHRASIA SUPERBA (KRILL): Useful in the control of plasma triglycerides. Rich in omega 3, 6, 9.

TRIVALENT CHROME: Cooperates with insulin in regulating blood sugar; improves glucose tolerance; induces the endogenous reservation of serotonin which controls hunger and stress.
