Folic acid is a B vitamin that is very important for the normal growth process of maternal tissues in pregnancy and for the cell division process. Folic acid also contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Food sources rich in folic acid are green leafy vegetables such as spinach, chard, thistles. Other good sources are legumes, broccoli, citrus fruits, whole grains, liver. Cooking and handling food reduces the folic acid content. Folic acid, like all B vitamins, is water-soluble and is rapidly eliminated in the urine. It is therefore essential to introduce it regularly with the diet. The demand for this vitamin is particularly high during pregnancy. Signs of folic acid deficiency are depression, insomnia, irritability, fatigue, weakness, macrocytic anemia.

Jamieson Folic Acid tablets are made through a process called "Dry Compression" according to which the ingredients are dry mixed avoiding the use of alcohol, other chemical solvents, high and prolonged temperatures. INGREDIANTS

Bulking agents: microcrystalline cellulose, calcium diphosphate, cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose; folic acid (pteroyl monoglutamic acid); anti-caking agent: vegetable magnesium stearate. GLUTEN FREE.

METHOD OF USE

Take 1 tablet daily, preferably with a main meal.
