Jamieson Extended Release Iron is an excellent product formulated with Timed Release organic iron fumarate.

Iron is a mineral necessary for the formation of hemoglobin contained in red blood cells and of myoglobin which is found in muscle tissue. Iron contributes to the normal production of red blood cells, it is essential for the transport of oxygen to the tissues and for the production of energy. Iron deficiencies can occur as a result of heavy menstruation losses, bleeding, chronic diarrhea, reduced dietary introduction, poor absorption (especially in the elderly), increased need for the mineral (during pregnancy, breastfeeding, childhood and adolescence). Iron deficiency causes anemia characterized by difficulty concentrating, excessive fatigue, decreased physical performance, asthenia, paleness, tachycardia.
