Jojoba oil is extracted by cold pressing from the seeds of Simmondisia chinensis, a plant of American origins. Jojoba oil actually… is not an oil, but has the chemical composition of a wax : it does not contain triglycerides while it is rich in waxy esters, tocopherols and tocotrienols, B vitamins and minerals. The high presence of tocopherols, natural antioxidants, make this product very resistant to rancidity and oxidation.

The composition of jojoba oil is very similar to human sebum . By virtue of this it is able to maintain the correct hydration of the skin and protect it from dehydration but also from external factors such as water, wind and smog. Also thanks to this composition, jojoba oil is rapidly absorbed and does not remain greasy on the skin. It is also perfect for hair care and beauty: it is applied on the lengths to flatten the cuticles. The hair will then appear smoother and shinier. In Ayurveda jojoba oil is a rebalancing of the skin PITTA (characterized by sensitive, irritated and acne-prone skin) and KAPHA (thick skin, rich in sebum, tending to grease).
