Jovita® Anti-Age Serum Esthèr® Krymi Laboratories For Sensitive And Intolerant Skin
JOVITA® ANTI-AGE SERUM
Jovita anti-aging serum is a concentrate of hyaluronic acid and snail mucus , enriched with an innovative and refined peptide compound, Carcinin (Decarboxy Carnosine HCI) , with strong antioxidant and revitalizing properties.
Unique of its kind for its high moisturizing function and excellent skin sensory, Jovita anti-aging serum creates a transparent non-occlusive film on the skin that counteracts the loss of trans-epidermal water, constantly guaranteeing the right degree of hydration.
Jovita anti-aging serum counteracts the signs of skin aging, maintains the elasticity and turgor of the tissues and thanks to the undisputed anti-glycating property, prolongs the results achieved with hyaluronic acid and collagen-based fillers over time, counteracting the protein degradation.
Combined use with Jovita anti-aging cream amplifies these features and accelerates results.
It does not contain perfumes, which is why it is suitable for sensitive and generally intolerant skin. Specifically for the treatment of the eye and lip contour .
CARNICINE (or decarboxy carnosine HCL ), is a natural peptide obtained from the decarboxylation of carnosine with strong anti-glycant and anti-oxidant activity. The main cosmeceutical activities of this innovative active can be summarized as follows:
ANTI-GLICATION
It protects collagen and other proteins from glycation processes at two different levels:
1. Prevention : glucose scavenging. It counteracts the formation of "terminal products of glycation".
2. Repair : replacing collagen in the trans-glycation process.
Carcinin prevents protein cross-linking, making it more powerful than aminoguanidine, a reference in anti-glycation, and telmesteine with anti-oxidant and anti-protease activity. Grassi L, Moretti M, Bisetti A. A new mucosal drug with anti-protease activity: telmesteine. Riv Ital Biol Med 1992; 12: 67-74. Furthermore, compared to the latter, it has a higher safety profile in use as the final products of the reaction are neither toxic nor mutagenic.
ANTIOXIDANT - Global protection
Carcinin provides fast and reliable protection against oxidative stress damage. By measuring the redox state of the cells it is possible to monitor the damage of UV radiation. It has been shown that after UV irradiation the skin alone can slowly recover, however even after 24 hours, the self-healing process is often not complete.
In contrast, the use of carcinin led to a full recovery in about 8 hours. Carcinin has an exclusive anti-radical activity not common to other antioxidant active ingredients, it is able to transform the harmful lipid peroxide (LOOH) into the corresponding harmless alcohol (LOH), preventing the degradation of proteins into toxic free radicals.
This function is completed by the scavenging activity typical of carcinin. The high stability in contact with air actually makes carcinin the ideal candidate in cosmeceutical applications compared to carnosine itself and other active ingredients with anti-radical activity such as melatonin which in contact with oxygen rapidly loses stability.
REVITALIZATION - At the cellular level, Sirtuins production
Sirtuins are proteins involved in aging, resistance to stress resistance and cellular metabolism through their ability to preserve ATP levels. Carcinin stimulates the production of sirtuins in a dose-dependent manner, improving the metabolic activity of skin cells.
It also stimulates the production of collagen favoring the firmness of the skin and the attenuation of wrinkles.
SENSITIVE SKIN - Soothing, Control of inflammation
Aggressions can lead to inflammation of the skin. Carcinin, applied to reconstituted human epidermis, has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory activity by reducing the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1α and IL-8.
The inclusion of carcinin in substitution of telmesteine and melatonin inside Jovita anti-aging cream and telmesteine alone in the anti-aging serum was designed with the clear intention of improving the functionality of both products in terms of efficacy but especially safety; the use of sophisticated and innovative pluripotent active ingredients capable of performing multiple functions as in the case of carinine, allows to minimize the number of active ingredients in the formula and consequently the risk of potential adverse allergic effects related to them even in the presence of particularly skins sensitive and basically intolerant.
