Description

Food for special medical purposes.
Intended for the dietary management of oxidation disorders of long-chain fatty acids, poor digestion and malabsorption of fats, in a ketogenic diet and in all other cases that require a diet with an additional requirement of MCT fats.

Vegetable oil (medium chain triglycerides from palm and coconut fat in variable proportions 77%, safflower oil, linseed oil), vitamin E, vitamin A, beta-carotene, vitamin D.

Warnings

The oil is not a source of essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins. Not suitable as the sole nutritional source.
The quantity of the product must be determined by the doctor or dietician, in relation to the age, weight and clinical condition of the patient.
The intake of MCT fats should be gradually increased to avoid osmotic diarrhea, bloating, abdominal pain, vomiting or headache.
The product must be used under medical supervision.
Suitable for infants, children and adults.
Do not use injecting.
Not suitable for people not affected by the aforementioned diseases.
Contraindicated in case of ketoacidosis / acidosis, decompensated liver cirrhosis, chronic kidney disease, metabolic diseases (MCAD deficiency).

Shelf life from the date of production, in unopened package: 24 months.
