KetoCal 3: 1 is a nutritionally complete powdered food with high fat intake and relatively low carbohydrate and protein intake [fat and (carbohydrate + protein) ratio of 3: 1], containing long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCP), DHA and AA. Enriched with vitamin D. Free of aspartame. Low in trans fatty acids. Available in neutral taste.

Indications

KetoCal 3: 1 is indicated for the nutritional treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy and other diseases where the use of the ketogenic diet is indicated.

Use and doses

The recommended dilution of KetoCal 3: 1 is 9.5% w / v (e.g. 9.5 g produced in 90ml of water up to 100ml of final volume). A higher dilution can be prescribed by the attending physician based on individual needs.

Osmolality

The osmolality of KetoCal 3: 1 at the recommended dilution is 100mosm / Kg.

Important note

The powdered formula is not sterile so it is recommended, where possible, to prepare it immediately before administration and to consume it within 1 hour. If prepared in advance, refrigerate quickly at 2 to 4 ° C and consume within 24 hours. Shake well before use. Do not use the product after 24 hours from its preparation. Discard the reconstituted and unused product.
