Mix of small-sized pasta shapes

Origin of the name: this format was born from the need of the Neapolitan landlords to also use the "pieces" of pasta of various shapes, cooking them all together. In Neapolitan dialect it is also called "mmesca francesca", from "mésca" (mixture) and "francesca" (a probable ironic reference to the French gastronomic mélanges, at the time of their domination over Naples).
