WHAT IS URINARY CALCULOSIS?

Calculosis is a "social" disease: it affects both sexes during the course of life. Urinary stones (urinary lithiasis or kidney stones) are crystals that have lost their solubility and are deposited in the form of small pebbles, which are subsequently excreted in the urine. These crystals can lodge in the urinary tract and cause pain, obstruction of the passage of urine and, in severe cases, a urinary tract infection.

In Italy, urolithiasis occupies an important place in daily clinical practice. On average, the risk of a stone forming over the course of a person's life ranges from 5 to 15%.

HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?

The urinary stones can have many aspects in relation mainly to its seat in the urinary tract; the clinical picture and any signs of correlated complications are therefore different (infection, urinary stasis, renal failure) and can occur individually or in association with each other. Urinary stones can have an occasional diagnosis (asymptomatic stones) or be identified following the appearance of more or less specific symptoms and signs (symptomatic stones) such as pain (renal colic - most frequent symptom), hematuria (blood in the urine ), low back pain, urinary tract infection, or kidney failure in severe cases.

AGAINST URINARY CALCULOSIS LAPIREN® WHY

Lapiren sachets is indicated for all subjects with symptoms attributable to urinary stones, such as:

• Impaired urine quality (cloudy appearance, dark color, hematuria, presence of crystals)
• Pain or burning when urinating
• Abdominal pain (colic)

FORM OF ADMINISTRATION

Sachets for oral use

DOSAGE

In acute: 2 sachets per day for 10 days. Then 1 sachet a day for 2 months or according to medical opinion
In prevention: 1 sachet a day for 20 days a month for 3 months or according to medical advice

WARNINGS

Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age in order to avoid accidental intake of the product. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not use the product if the package is not intact. Use is not recommended in cases of ascertained hypersensitivity to one or more of the ingredients listed. Given the nature of the ingredients contained, the product may have a different appearance from batch to batch: this does not affect the quality of the product. For pregnant and breastfeeding women, it is advisable to seek medical advice.

ADDITIONAL WARNINGS

In cases of patients suffering from hyperkalaemia and / or hypermagnesemia it is advisable to seek the advice of the doctor before using the product.
