Indications
MovarDol® is a Food Supplement in tablets based on Natural Substances, Boswellia and Ginger extracts, chosen for their specific action on the genesis of pain and inflammatory states and N-Acetyl-D-glucosamine which has a trophic and protective against the Articular Cartilage. Therefore MovarDol, thanks to its anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and regenerating action, can be useful for joint function in rheumatological diseases and osteoarthritis.
Ingrediants
N - Acetyl - D - glucosamine , an acetylated derivative of Glucosamine, is an amino sugar naturally present in the human body, necessary for the biosynthesis of Hyaluronic Acid, a fundamental constituent of the synovial fluid and of the Proteoglycans, constituents of the Articular Cartilage.
N - Acetyl - D - glucosamine has numerous advantages over the use of Glucosamine: it does not induce insulin resistance, because it does not affect the exokinases, involved in glucose metabolism. It has more powerful anti-inflammatory power against Glucosamine and more effectively prevents the production of IL-1, a pro-inflammatory molecule. It also does not inhibit the synthesis of endogenous glucosamine.
Boswellia serrata extract contains 65% boswellic acids, responsible for its anti-inflammatory activity which is basically carried out through two mechanisms of action:
1. Inhibition of 5-lipoxygenase, thus blocking the synthesis of leukotrienes, chemical mediators of the inflammatory process in various inflammatory pathologies. By not acting on the synthesis of prostaglandins, catalyzed by cyclooxygenases, boswellic acids do not have the gastrologic side effects typical of salicylates. The result is the reduction of swelling and pain, the improvement of motor skills, especially compromised in the morning. Unlike classic anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and corticosteroids, it does not induce signs of gastric intolerance and on the contrary manifests a protective activity against ulcer from alcohol and gastric-damaging drugs.
2. Inhibition of leukocyte migration and elastase: boswellic acids have been shown to be able to block the migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes, thanks to the inhibition of the release or production of certain factors capable of recalling them to the place of inflammation. Polymorphonuclear cells act locally by releasing elastase, the proteolytic enzyme responsible for the destruction of collagen and therefore of the tissues involved in the inflammatory process. The activity of elastase is also inhibited by boswellic acids, thus preventing joint degeneration.
Ginger has been used for therapeutic purposes since ancient times in various pathologies, including those affecting the musculoskeletal system. Ginger extract, titrated in 5% glycerols, appears to have powerful anti-inflammatory effects due to various mechanisms of action - including inhibition of COX-2, leukotriene synthesis and NFkB, a protein complex that plays a key role in the development of the inflammatory process - and painkillers, thanks to the action on the TRPV1 receptor involved in the perception of pain.
How to use
It is recommended to administer 1 tablet 3 times a day in the first week; then continue with 1 tablet 2 times a day.
