Neurotrophic antioxidant

The nervous system in humans can be anatomically divided into central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral nervous system (PNS). The main difference between the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system lies in the anatomy: The CNS is formed by the brain (brain, brainstem and cerebellum) and the spinal cord, the SNP by neurons (sensory, motor and autonomic) i whose axons extend out of the central nervous system to reach tissues and organs.

Neuropathy
It is a morbid condition with multiple causes and with the degeneration of the nerve fiber and damage to the myelin sheath at the base: it can be divided into mononeuropathy when it concerns a single nerve and is due to inflammatory processes, osteoarticular alterations, muscle pathologies, fractures, traumas. Generally, it is a well-defined type of pain, caused by the mechanical, thermal or chemical excitation of the peripheral nerve endings; polyneuropathy affects multiple nerves and originates within the nervous system itself. Neuropathic pain manifests itself with spontaneous pain, paraesthesia, tingling, loss of the ability to feel pain and to coordinate.
Aging causes a reduction in synapses and alterations in the brain structure: reduction of the main neurotransmitters and enzymes necessary for their synthesis, as well as the number and functionality of postsynaptic receptors. Furthermore, there is a quantitative and qualitative change in the membrane phospholipids which decreases the fluidity of the membrane and this affects the functionality of the neurons.

The components of Levalgos
Acetyl-l-carnitine and alpha-lipoic acid are very powerful antioxidants that fight the free radicals responsible for neuropathy and nourish the nerves;
