LH Iodine 10

Indications:
broad-spectrum disinfectant for skin disinfection and hygiene in infectious risk departments.
Antiseptic-antibacterial to be used in the following cases:
- preparation of the operating field;
- disinfection of the skin before injection therapy;
- use as an antiseptic-microbicide in medical surgeries.

How to use:
it is used pure or diluted up to 50%. It is applied directly to the affected area with a cotton ball or gauze pad.

Characteristics:
the spectrum of action is very broad and includes Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, acid and acid-resistant bacteria, fungi (including Candida), protozoa, viruses and spores.
Its activity is maintained in the presence of organic materials. No phenomena of resistance are known.
PVP-I contains 10% free available iodine which is gradually released from the complex upon contact with the substrate. The antisepsis is performed by free iodine with a direct and persistent oxidizing action.
Clear dark colored solution, foaming on shaking. Characteristic odor of iodine; pH 4.5 ± 0.5, soluble in water in all ratios. Specific Gravity:1.00-1.05.
Medical-Surgical unit.
The product is well tolerated locally even after treatments for several days.
Available in 125, 250, 500, 1000, 5000 ml polyethylene bottles.

Toxicity:
tests on healthy skin: patch tests do not cause any reaction after 96 hours of contact; tests repeated after 2 weeks did not reveal intolerability phenomena even after a further 48 hours of contact.
Absence of systemic effects, this demonstrates that the product has no systemic action and therefore has an exclusive local action.

Contraindications:
iodine allergy.

Warnings:
for external use only, do not ingest.
Keep out of reach of children.
Not to be used on damaged skin and mucous membranes.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Do not use simultaneously with soaps or solutions/ointments containing mercury.
In case of accident or if you feel unwell, consult your doctor (show him the label if possible).
Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
Store the product in the original packaging in a cool, clean and dry place, away from high heat sources and not exposed to direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed and away from food, feed and drink. Do not reuse the container.
The period of validity (36 months) refers to the product in its intact and correctly stored container.
Dispose of in accordance with local waste regulations.

Components:
100 ml of solution contain:
polyvinylpyrrolidone iodine g.10.0 (equivalent to 1.0% iodine); coformulates; purified water to taste at 100ml.
