Ligasano

How to use:
- post-operative dressing: depending on the wound, Ligasano with a thickness of 0.5 to 2cm is used, and it is cut so as to cover the wound for 3-4 cm beyond the edges. Fixed with light pressure, it can adapt to any irregularities in the wound and to ensure contact with it. The secretions produced are absorbed by Ligasano thus avoiding secondary infections. Replacement should be performed at the latest when the secretion appears visible on the dressing surface.
- Treatment of ulcers: the ulcer is stuffed with Ligasano and then covered with a further layer of Ligasano in order to cross the edges by 3-4 cm. Proceed as for postoperative dressings. In this way a mechanical effect is obtained, insynchronous with the movement of the body, which acts on the wound by stimulating the emission of the secret, the absorption of germs and an accelerated granulation.
- Treatment of crural ulcer: Ligasano lamina is applied according to the ulcer configuration, always passing by 3-4 cm the edges of the lesion. A strong elastic bandage is applied to the venous ulcer, starting from the metatarsal on the one hand, the mechanical effect of Ligasano also improves venous reflux. On the other hand, in arterial ulcers, this additional bandage must absolutely be dispensed with. In this case Ligasano is fixed with a modest compression, for example with strips of plaster or with a gauze bandage. The Ligasano bandages are also very suitable for this purpose, since they do not move even if the bandage is loosened, and which also stimulate blood circulation on the whole leg.
- Treatment of extensive lesions (burns-excoriations): this type of lesion is treated with Ligasano mainly for the mechanical debridement that it exercises at the level of the supporting parts of the body.

Characteristics:
available in different shapes and sizes, from 2x1 m support up to tablets and bends. It can be cut with scissors and brought to any shape and size required: the edges will always remain smooth. It can be superimposed in several layers that do not move and maintain the absorbing power up to the last layer. It is available in both sterile and non-sterile form.
