The use of alveolar technology allows Ligasano Orange to redistribute the pressure load of the patient's areas (eg heels, sacro-coccygeal area, pelvis) over the entire surface, effectively helping to prevent the onset of pressure injuries. Its very high permeability guarantees a continuous exchange of air, through its structure, even when subjected to pressure, maintaining the correct temperature values, thus counteracting the maceration processes.

The flexibility and versatility of Ligasano Orange make it the ideal prevention complement for the individual needs of each patient. It can be cut and shaped and, therefore, used to prevent tissue maceration of any part of the skin, regardless of how delicate and inaccessible it may be. Bedridden patients, especially in cases of paraplegia and quadriplegia, have specific needs that a single prevention complement alone is unable to meet. Hydration, nourishment and regular mobilization are the prerequisites for proper prevention, complemented by suitable medical devices.

Ligasano Orange is a complementary device and part of a prevention system specifically designed to meet the specific needs of each patient.

In the case of bedridden patients, Ligasano Orange represents the structural basis of the support surface and must be used under layers of Ligasano Bianco, in order to guarantee a highly effective prevention system.

In fact, the mixed cell structure of Ligasano Bianco causes permanent deformation when pressure is exerted on it (= memory effect). Therefore, anatomically convex areas (for example, heels, calf, gluteal region, shoulders, occipital region ...) become thinner, while anatomically concave areas retain their shape and volume. This results in a global and uniform distribution of body weight over its total surface, effectively guaranteeing the body a continuous variation.

Ligasano Bianco, with surface micro-granularity, can be used in contact with delicate skin. Since it deforms permanently, the top layer must be changed regularly, at least once a week, depending on the weight of the patients. The number of layers of White Ligasano needed for a given patient is directly proportional to his weight and varies from person to person.
