Ingrediants

The substance that causes the effect that helps prevent cold sores in lipivir® is a proprietary blend of polyethylene glycols (PEG) . That PEGs have this preventive effect against cold sores is patented by Devirex AG and the effect of Lipivir® has been demonstrated in clinical studies. How to use Lipivir®?

Directions: Use a pin-sized drop of lipivir® gel and apply to the lip line and other affected areas of the face. After waiting 1 minute you can apply your favorite moisturizing lip balm, skin care or makeup.

Lipivir® is a preventative product and should only be applied twice a day to cover yourself: once in the morning and once in the evening. We do not recommend further applications, as it does not increase the effect and can lead to dry lips.

How Lipivir® works

When the HSV1 herpes virus is inactive, it is found in the nerve tissue of the ganglion. Send scout virus particles to investigate the condition of the lip cells. If conditions are favorable, the scout virus particles send signals to the herpes virus in nerve tissue.

Lipivir® stops this viral signaling, which means that the viral particles around the lip cells, or the affected area to which the product is applied, cannot inform the herpes virus in the ganglionic nervous tissue. This helps prevent the invasion of new virus particles and thus an outbreak is prevented.

Put simply, Lipivir® builds a barrier, an internal barrier against the viral signaling that causes cold sores.
