LISTERINE Advance Defense Sensitive, is an alcohol-free mouthwash, also for daily use, with a technology based on potassium oxalate crystals. Creates a physical shield on exposed nerves for in-depth protection from tooth sensitivity.
Tooth sensitivity is a short, sharp pain caused by exposure of the dentin to stimuli of various kinds, such as heat, cold, acidic foods, sweets or mechanical forces.
Causes of tooth sensitivity:
Dentin, one of the building blocks of teeth, contains thousands of microscopic tubules that lead to the dental pulp, where the nerves are enclosed. In a healthy mouth, the dentin is covered by gum tissue or enamel. Poor or incorrect oral hygiene or aging (among other factors) can cause gingival recession and, consequently, exposure of tooth surfaces and tubules. When the exposed tubules are exposed to heat, cold, acids or sugars, the flow of fluid within them increases and is transmitted to the nerve endings located in the pulp. This results in sharp and sudden pain.

Indications of use for Listerine

For best results use regularly twice a day for at least 2 weeks. Continued use is necessary to ensure lasting protection from tooth sensitivity. Alcohol free.

To open: press the base of the cap on the part without knurling and turn.
To close: turn the cap until it locks.

How to use: Use twice a day, morning and evening, after brushing or when directed by the dentist. Pour 10 ml of product (2 teaspoons of 5 ml) into a glass, rinse for 60 seconds making the liquid pass well throughout the mouth. Do not swallow.

Warnings before use

KEEP OUT OF THE SIGHT AND REACH OF CHILDREN
Do not use this product if you are sensitive or allergic to oxalates or any of the ingredients. Do not use this product if you have a history of kidney disease, hyperoxaluria, kidney stones or malabsorption syndrome, or if you are taking high doses of vitamin C (1,000 mg or more per day). If you suspect that kidney stones are developing, see your doctor. If you feel discomfort or irritation, discontinue use of the product. In case of ingestion of a significant amount (more than 10 ml) of the product, drink a cup of milk or water and contact your doctor or the emergency room. Not suitable for people under the age of 18. Do not use if container is damaged or if the warranty seal is broken. Do not dilute, ingest or drink from the bottle. Do not use after the expiration date. Use only as directed. If the condition worsens or persists, discontinue use and consult a physician.
