Chia (Salvia hispanica) is a plant whose oil seeds have been consumed by natives of Central America since ancient times, with incredible nutritional benefits. Chia seed oil, in fact, contains about 62% of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an essential polyunsaturated fatty acid of mainly vegetable origin, progenitor of omega-3s.
Starting from linolenic acid, the human body synthesizes EPA and DHA, which are important above all for their anti-inflammatory, hypotiglyceride-lowering, hypotensive and blood thinning activities. For this reason, ALA can offer important cardiovascular protection, in particular in the reduction of LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Organic Chia Oil contains Benexia®, exclusive organic chia seed oil, obtained by cold pressing without the use of solvents, rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids with a 3: 1 ratio, ideal for maintaining a good balance between omega-3s and omega-6.
The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 2 g of ALA.
