CHARACTERISTICS

Lysonox SURFACES is a liquid product, ready to use, for the simultaneous cleansing and disinfection of all surfaces of medical devices and furnishings (e.g. scialitics, operating tables, electro-medical devices, touch screens, monitors, PCs, etc.). The biocide complex is alcohol-free, making Lysonox SURFACES compatible with practically all materials present in the medical field. The absence of CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic), allows to have the maximum degree of safety for the operator and the patient. The dispensing takes place directly by nebulizing the product in the form of foam, which avoids unnecessary dispersion in the air and allows greater economy of use. Finally, the wide spectrum of action makes Lysonox SURFACES the ideal product for all operational needs in the environmental disinfection field.

CONTACT TIMES AND METHOD OF USE

Low-level disinfection (bactericidal and fungicidal activity): ready to use, 5 minutes.
Intermediate level disinfection (bactericidal, fungicidal, microbactericidal and virucidal activity): ready to use, 15 minutes.
Lysonox SURFACES is a ready-to-use product and therefore must not be diluted. Dispense the product directly on the surface to be treated or indirectly using a TNT cloth and distribute the product. Do not rinse, except if the surfaces come into contact with foodstuffs or mucous membranes.
Since Lysonox SURFACES does not need to be rinsed, the contact times indicated in the relevant table will potentially always be respected. The foam dispenser strongly limits the formation of aerosols and the possible volatility of the components. The compact foam avoids any excess on the surface to be treated.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The biocide system of Lysonox SURFACES allows for a broad spectrum of action. In particular:
Didecyldimethylammonium chloride: 4th generation quaternary ammonium salt, with precipitating, complexing and denaturing effects of bacterial proteins, which causes lesion of the cytoplasmic membrane of cells. The natural surfactant effect increases the effectiveness of removing organic residues.
Chlorhexidine Digluconate: Chlorhexidine is rapidly active, through adsorption to the cell wall of the pathogen, protein and enzymatic denaturation, with consequent cytoplasmic precipitation and cell death.
The synergy between the active ingredients and the excipients present in the product allow Lysonox SURFACES to be easily used in various situations, where high compatibility with materials and a broad spectrum of action are required.
