Description
Medical device in ointment for the topical treatment of inflamed and squamous skin in the case of psoriasis. Contains the functional substance cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) which can block pro-inflammatory substances such as nitrogen monoxide (NO) in the upper skin layers and thus reduce the degree of inflammation. In combination with polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3), polyphenols and natural moisturizing factors, the skin barrier function (skin barrier) is stabilized, with consequent reduction of itching and redness.
Mavena B12 Pomata does not contain cortisone and therefore can be used without running the associated risks.

How to use
Mavena B12 Pomata should be applied several times a day, in the quantities specified in the following table. With the finger tip unit (FTU), which corresponds to a 0.5 cm thick ointment thread from the tip of the finger to the crease of the first phalanx corresponding to an amount of about 0.5 g, it can be applied to a surface of skin, which corresponds to about 2 palms.
The quantities needed depend on the age, therefore for a 6-month-old baby for an adequate application on a leg including the foot 1.5FTU will be necessary, for a five-year-old child 3 FTU will be needed and for an adult 8 FTU.

Treatment with Mavena B12 Pomata should be carried out for as long as necessary.
Given the known characteristics of the functional substance, it is assumed that a prolonged duration of treatment is also possible without particular precautions.

Composition
1 g of ointment contains 0.7 mg of cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).
Other components: aqua, persea gratissima (avocado) oil, persea gratissima (avocado) oil unsaponifiables, glycerin, hydroxyethyl urea, dipolyhydroxystearate, salvia hispanica (chia) seed oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil, hydrogenungated castoroil, magnesium sulfate, magnesium stearum, zanthoxeanum fruit extract, sodiumchlorid, polysorbate, polyaminopropyl biguanide
Without cortisone, parabens, perfume and dyes.

Warnings
In case of known hypersensitivity to one of the components of Mavena B12 Pomata, the preparation should not be used.
Do not swallow.
Avoid contact with mucous membranes, wounds or injured skin.
If used correctly it is not necessary to take special precautions.
Particular caution is required in the use of Mavena B12 Pomata if you have hypersensitivity to nickel (contact allergy). Further hypersensitivity phenomena are also possible, such as cobalt, which is present in vitamin B12.
In the case of infants under 4 weeks, the product should be used after consulting the doctor, as there is insufficient experience in this regard.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you suffer from other diseases, allergies or take or apply other medications externally.
Possible side effects are rare local reactions at the treatment site (≥ 1/10 000-1 / 1000), such as skin irritations (redness, itching, burning). These are transient in nature and are not necessarily related to the use of Mavena B12 Ointment.
Although these skin irritations may subside even by continuing the use of Mavena B12 Pomata it is advisable to stop the treatment as in rare cases there may be an allergy to the functional substance or to another component of Mavena B12 Pomata.
If undesirable effects not described here are observed, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist.
The pink color of Mavena B12 Pomata is due to the functional substance cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12). Being a water-soluble vitamin, any stains on clothing can normally be completely removed by washing in a washing machine at at least 30 ° C.
However, after application it is best to let Mavena B12 Pomata penetrate the skin before putting on your clothes again.
Keep out of reach of children.
When applying the ointment in the genital or anal area, due to the presence of avocado oil in the composition, it can lead to a reduction in tensile strength and compromise the safety of latex condoms.
