What is maca?

Maca is a herbaceous plant of the cruciferous family that grows in the Peruvian Andes at heights between 3000 and 4000 meters, the part used is the tuber, which reaches maturity after 7-10 months from sowing.

Action of maca in the sexual and reproductive sphere

Hormonal dysfunctions in the sexual field are benefited by the use of maca, as it acts by contributing to the regulation of the hypothalamus-pituitary axis and endocrine activity in general. The results show an improvement in libido enhancement, sexual performance and erectile dysfunction. Macaine alkaloids 1,2, 3,4, are involved in increasing the reproductive capacities of men and women, contributing to the increase of oogenesis and spermatogenesis. Maca (due to the alkaloids contained), has a pituitary and hypothalamic simulation action at the brain level which determines a greater production of steroid hormones (testosterone, estrogen, progesterone). All this results in an increase in libido, greater sexual impulse and greater physical stamina, especially considering the man in the andropausal age and the woman in the menopausal age. The research carried out has shown a significant increase in the number of intercourse by both sexes, both for the increase in sexual desire and for the improved physical energy. In particular, following the function of maca, a greater production of seminal fluid and an increase in erectile performance was observed, this was related to a greater production of sex hormones, both in men and women.

Action of passion flower

Passionflower has been combined with maca to reduce the states of stress that often accompany the situation of sterility and decreased libido.

How to use (couple sterility) : to be taken by both men and women but at least six months with a dosage of two tablets a day, preferably between meals.

How to use (decrease in libido) : to be taken for a minimum period of two months with a dosage of two tablets a day. If necessary, the therapy must be repeated.

Warnings : do not administer during pregnancy.
