Description
Class IIA Medical Device. Sterile. Single use.
The product is a non-active device. The tablets are made of a mixture of viscose and polyester fibres: the viscose part is between 67% and 70%, the remainder is made of polyester fibres. It is free of binding agents and optical brighteners, is permeable to air, available in six layers. Tablets can be unfolded to get a larger size. The sterile devices are packaged in paper-film polylaminated envelopes.
The device is used for the general treatment of wounds, such as in the context of surgical procedures, which includes its use:
as a primary dressing on skin wounds;
as a device for wound cleansing and cleansing of intact skin and skin wounds;
as support material for example for disinfectants or ointments;
as a secondary dressing for acute wounds and chronic wounds;
as a mechanical barrier and for the absorption of body fluids.
In addition, it can be used as padding to protect against mechanical damage.
Sterile packed in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11607. Steam sterilized in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17665-1 in a validated process.

Optical brighteners: absent.

Warnings
Do not use if packaging is damaged. Do not re-sterilize. Reusing single-use sterile medical devices is dangerous. Reworking devices for reuse can seriously compromise their integrity and performance.
