Arginine is considered an essential amino acid because the body is not able to produce a sufficient amount, in adults it plays a fundamental role in the body.
It determines dilation of blood vessels, with the claim of increasing their flow and consequently improving the transport of nutrients to the organs, with a consequent increase
muscle hypertrophy and strength. It is claimed that the administration of arginine is able to stimulate the synthesis of nitric oxide, a very important biological mediator.
L-arginine makes up 50% of the protein material present in the nucleus of spermatozoa.
In humans, arginine constitutes 25% of the free amino acids present in the ejaculate.
