Melacol

Melacol is a food supplement based on polyphenolic extract of apple annurca campana PGI (Annurcomplex®) and dry olive extract that promotes lipid metabolism.

A retrospective observational study conducted at the Surgical Department of the University of Modena on patients with mild and moderate hypercholesterolemia treated with Melacol showed a reduction in total cholesterol (TC) and LDL and a reduction in risk indices cardiovascular.

No adverse effects were reported throughout the duration of treatment.

The benefit on lipid metabolism was determined by the combination of the two extracts by regulating cellular oxidative stress and the uptake of cholesterol molecules.

Properties of the components of Melacol

AnnurComplex®: nutraceutical product based on concentrated polyphenolic extract of Annurcacampana PGI apple useful for maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels.
Olive tree extr. dry titrated at 20% oleuropein: molecule with strong anti-radical activity against oxidized LDL cholesterol, much more marked than other antioxidant molecules, including vitamin E. Oleuropein also has the claim of being a regulator of plasma concentrations CT, LDL cholesterol and HDL cholesterol.
