Red clover is a rich and valuable source of Isoflavones (Genistein, Daidzeina, Biochanina A, Formononetina), more easily assimilated by the body, compared to other known sources, such as soy, millet and wheat.

WHAT HAPPENS TO A WOMAN IN MENOPAUSE

During a woman's lifetime, estrogen levels fluctuate: they rise during puberty and early childbearing age, then rise and fall rhythmically during the menstrual cycle, peaking during pregnancy. The process that leads a woman to menopause is characterized by the gradual decrease in estrogen levels. Most women report experiencing symptoms related to menopause around the age of 40-50, just when estrogen levels drop.

When estrogen levels decrease, some symptoms appear:
hot flashes: when there is a sharp drop in estrogen levels, the brain releases a signal that tells the body that it is "overheating". This signal causes the stimulation of a substance similar to adrenaline which produces a sudden sweating and acceleration of the heartbeat;
sleep disturbances: night flashes can cause night sweats and alter the sleep rhythm;
mood swings: mood swings are very common in menopause; the woman may become irritable and anxious, or become demoralized by facts that normally would not have upset her.

The disorders, however, are not limited to hot flashes, sleep disturbances and mood swings; in fact, menopause also affects bone health and the cardiovascular system, which are even more serious problems for health and physical well-being.
