Description
Four-layer multi-layered absorbent dressing made of polyurethane foam, with edge, contact layer made of Safetac soft silicone and slotted structure with Flex Technology.
1)External film in highly breathable and liquid-impermeable polyurethane. Provides a barrier for bacteria. The new dotted grid on the external film allows you to trace the distribution of exudate without removing the dressing.
2) Distribution layer in cracked non-woven fabric thanks to the use of Flex Technology. Distributes exudate evenly across the entire surface to maximize fluid management capacity.
3) Layer of absorbent foam in open-cell polyurethane for vertical absorption. Instantly absorbs exudate and prevents its return, for protection of the periwound skin even under elastic compression.
4) Safetac soft silicone wound contact layer. The soft silicone technology, Safetac applied to Mölnlycke dressings, minimizes pain for patients and trauma to the wound even in critical situations, or when the exudate begins to dry:
- adapts to the irregular surface of the skin to create a larger contact area, which allows the force necessary for removal to be better distributed, preventing skin stripping;
- leaves no residue either on the lesion bed or on healthy skin;
- seals the margins of the lesion, preventing the exudate from spreading onto the perilesional skin, minimizing the risk of maceration;
- does not adhere to moist surfaces, such as open wounds, but to the dry edges of the wound.
Mepilex Border Flex Lite is suitable for the management of a wide range of non-exuding to moderately exuding wounds, such as:
- pressure ulcers;
- ulcers of the lower limbs;
- post-operative injuries;
- traumatic injuries, such as abrasions, blisters and skin lacerations;
- can also be used to protect damaged and/or delicate skin.

Warnings
Do not use in patients sensitive to the components. The product is generally well tolerated. No interactions detected with other substances.
In case of sensitization of the treated area or clinical signs of infection, consult healthcare personnel for suitable therapy to combat the infection.
Do not use together with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide).
