Absorbent dressing

A thin, highly conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate and keeps the wound moist. The Safetac layer adheres to the edges of the wound, preventing exudates from escaping onto the periwound skin, thus minimizing the risk of maceration. Safetac layer ensures atraumatic dressing changes. Mepilex Lite can be cut to fit wounds of various shapes and locations. The dressing consists of:
• a soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac)
• a thin absorbent pad in polyurethane foam
• a breathable but waterproof outer film.

How to use
Clean the wound according to normal procedures. Dry the periwound area thoroughly. Remove the protective films and apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not pull on the dressing during application. For best results, Mepilex Lite must cover at least 2 cm of healthy skin on the perimeter of the wound. If necessary, cut the product. If necessary, fix Mepilex Lite with a bandage or other system.
Mepilex Lite can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and the surrounding area and in accordance with the directions of the healthcare professional. A change in wound treatment often results in an increase in exudate levels. Carefully monitor the condition of the wound and increase the frequency of changes.

Precautions
In case of infection, consult your doctor. Do not use Mepilex Lite if you use substances containing oxidizing agents such as solutions based on hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide). Storage in a dry environment and at temperatures below 35 ° C (95F); do not expose to direct sunlight. Do not use the product if the package is not intact. Sterility guaranteed only in unopened package. Disposable product. Do not resterilize.
