SILICONE DRAINAGE DRESSING

Indications:
for a wide range of exuding and difficult-to-dress wounds. It can also be used for protective purposes on non-exuding wounds and with fragile periwound skin. It can also be used under an elastic compression bandage. It can remain on the lesion site even during radiotherapy and hyperbaric therapy sessions.

Dosage and method of use:
clean the wound following normal procedures;
dry the surrounding skin to allow perfect adhesion;
remove the protective film and apply Mepilex Transfer with the adhesive layer towards the wound;
To protect the periwound skin from maceration and grazes and to ensure more secure fixation, place the Mepilex Transfer dressings (small sizes up to 12.5 x 12.5) over the wound, covering the periwound skin by approximately 1-2 cm and approximately 5 cm when using the larger sizes;
apply an appropriate secondary dressing capable of maintaining a moist environment:
- for low exuding wounds, use a transparent film;
- for wounds with moderate or heavy exudates, use above.

Characteristics:
does not adhere to the wound minimizing the trauma for the lesion being removed, even in critical situations in which the exudaoi begins to dry.

Contraindications:
do not use if you use substances containing oxidizing agents such as solutions based on hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide).

Conservations:
storage in a dry environment and at temperatures below 35°C (95F); do not expose to direct sunlight. Do not use the product if the package was not intact. Sterility guaranteed only in unopened packaging. Disposable product. Do not re-sterilize.
