Mepitel Film Safetac - Medical Device

Mepitel® Film is designed to protect fragile and sensitive skin and to minimize the risk of skin breakdown . You can use this gentle breathable film as the sole dressing or in combination with other products.

The thin structure of Mepitel Film is extremely conformable and adapts well to surface irregularities and different body contours. Provides a transparent, flexible cover to protect your patients' skin or wounds from bacterial contamination, fluid penetration or other external contamination.

The instant seal avoids the need for additional fixation - thanks to Safetac®, the original silicone adhesive contact layer that minimizes pain With Safetac, you can easily remove the dressing without damaging the skin. This means less pain for patients.

Mepitel Film can be used as a fixation zone for aggressive patches, allowing devices to be securely attached to the patient's skin, without causing damage or pain upon removal 3. Mepitel Film can also be used to significantly reduce damage skin induced by radiotherapy after radiotherapy treatment of breast cancer.

How to use

Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly. Remove the protective film (with Safetac® printing) to expose the sticker. Place the dressing. Mepitel Film can be repositioned as long as the paper frame is intact. Remove the white paper frame. Do not stretch the dressing during application. For best results, Mepitel Film must overlap the surrounding dry skin by at least 1-2 cm in order to achieve a secure fixation. Firmly smooth the dressing over the cut. Mepitel can be removed without causing any skin tearing or pain.
