Double Action Gel

The KRIOistantgel (KIG) product is a unique medical device due to its dual application.

1st Application:

Disposable instant ice pack, useful wherever you need an instant cold application. The device consists of a plastic bag, in which a removable separation element defines two hermetically separated compartments.

The removal of this separating element allows the mixing of the components and INSTANTLY gives rise to the formation of a cold gel pad, which reaches a temperature suitable for cryotherapy; this temperature remains constant for about 15 minutes, and then slowly rises.

INDICATIONS

The cold gel pad that forms at the moment of activation is very useful in all those emergency situations where an instant cold application is needed, such as eg. in the health field, in sports, in the workplace (factories, school, offices, etc.), while traveling (car, motorbike, bicycle, boat, etc.), on vacation and in free time (camping, sea, mountain, etc.). The KIG, flexible and easily adaptable to the affected skin surface, is a very practical adjuvant for first aid interventions in case of bruises, sprains, sprains, strains, muscle tears, small traumas, heat stroke, insect bites (such as eg. bees, wasps, etc.).

2nd Application:

REUSABLE cold / hot gel pad, useful when repeated applications of cold or heat are required.

INDICATIONS

The gel pad thus reused is useful for continuing cold therapy, in the first aid indications already indicated above: bruises, sprains, sprains, muscle strains and tears, minor traumas, heat exhaustion, etc., as the cold acts as a vasoconstrictor and helps reduce swelling, inflammation and pain.

INDICATIONS

Heat therapy can have multiple applications; it is, in fact, used to relieve chronic pain from musculoskeletal trauma and is indicated to promote tissue healing in case of bruises, stiff neck and muscle, tendon and ligament strains / strains. However, it is important that, in all the aforementioned cases, the application takes place at least 3 - 4 days after the trauma and, in any case, when the acute inflammatory phase can be considered definitively terminated (see below in "precautions"). The heat helps to reduce pain and muscle spasms, such as. back pain, sciatica, lumbago, stiff neck and menstrual pain.
