CE medical device, class I, for evacuation in cases of acute constipation and adjuvant soothing in anti-inflammatory treatments. The product is suitable for use of short duration (maximum 7 days) of occasional constipation. The use for longer periods of time requires a doctor's prescription after an adequate evaluation of the individual case. The treatment of chronic or recurrent constipation always requires the intervention of the doctor for the diagnosis, the prescription of drugs and the surveillance during the therapy. In episodes of constipation, it is advisable first of all to correct food habits by integrating the daily diet with an adequate intake of fiber and water.

Components
A 2 g suppository contains: hesperidin; dry extract of boswelia; dry extract of French maritime dip; lycopene; serene.

Mechanism of action
The Mictaprox formula guarantees stimulating properties for peristalsis. Taken rectally, it generally produces a bowel movement within 15-20 minutes, stimulating the emptying of the rectal ampoule. The components used do not exhibit systemic activity when the product is administered locally.

How to use
We recommend one suppository a day, preferably in the evening, before going to bed. For optimal functioning, it is advisable to apply the medical device correctly, making sure that it is correctly inserted in the deepest part of the ampoule. The correct dose is the minimum sufficient to produce an easy evacuation. It is advisable to initially use the minimum doses provided. Remember that a diet rich in liquids favors the effects of the product.
Adults and adolescents (12-18 years): 1 suppository as needed, for a maximum of 1 or 2 administrations per day and for a maximum period of 7 days.
Remove the suppository from the blister only immediately before using it, taking care not to break it and, if necessary, moisten it to facilitate its rectal introduction. When using laxatives it is advisable to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water or other liquids per day, in order to facilitate the softening of the stool.

Known side effects
There are no known side effects in the short, medium or long term. The device does not adversely affect sensory abilities (level of attention, ability to drive or perform activities). If undesirable effects arise such as excessive irritation, pain or any discomfort that may appear related to the use of the medical device, discontinue treatment immediately and contact your doctor.

Warnings
Keep the device out of the reach of children. Do not use the device after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister. The device is not sterile; however it is advisable not to use the suppositories in case of damaged primary packaging (blister). Each suppository is for single use only and must be removed from the package only immediately before use. Do not use suppositories broken or removed from the blister in unknown times, as this method of use could involve the risk of product contamination. Do not attempt to reuse accidentally leaking suppositories after the first attempt to use.
Do not exceed the recommended dose. In case of ineffectiveness of the DM after correct use according to the recommended dosage, discontinue use and contact your doctor.The abuse of laxatives, especially contact laxatives (stimulant laxatives) can cause dependence, chronic constipation, loss of normal intestinal functions (intestinal atony), persistent diarrhea with consequent loss of water, mineral salts (especially potassium) and other essential nutritional factors. In the most severe cases, abuse is possible the onset of dehydration or hypokalaemia, which can lead to cardiac or neuromuscular dysfunctions, especially in the case of simultaneous treatment of cardiac glycosides, diuretics or corticosteroids.

Interactions with other drugs or devices
Laxatives can reduce the time spent in the intestine and, consequently, also the absorption of other drugs taken at the same time orally, it is therefore advisable, after taking a medicine by mouth, to leave at least 2 hours before taking a medicine. laxative. If possible, avoid taking the medical device while using other devices or medicinal products. In any case, consult your doctor before taking Mictaprox in case of pharmacological therapies in progress.

Contraindications
Do not use under the age of 12. The use of the device is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to one of the components. Also do not use in case of:
- Acute abdominal pain or of unknown origin;
- Nausea or vomiting;
- intestinal obstruction or stricture;
- Rectal bleeding of unknown origin;
- Acute hemorrhoidal crisis with pain and bleeding;
- Severe state of dehydration.
The medical device can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but in these cases use only in cases of real need and only after consulting your doctor.
The elderly or in poor health conditions must in any case consult their doctor before using the medical device.

Store the suppositories in the blister, in a dry place and away from direct light or heat sources; extract the suppository only immediately before use. Store the device below 25 ° C.
