MILUPA OS 2-SECUNDA is a blend of pure L-amino acids free of isoleucine, methionine, threonine and valine with carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

It is indicated as a protein substitute in the nutritional management of children and adolescents aged 8 to 14 with organic acidemia (for example methylmalonic acidemia and propionic acidemia).

Dosage and use

The daily dose of MILUPA OS 2-SECUNDA required to meet the daily protein requirement is subject to age, body weight and individual tolerance level to isoleucine, methionine, threonine and valine. This dose, therefore, must be periodically adjusted by the doctor.
The daily amount of MILUPA OS 2-SECUNDA should be administered in 3-5 single servings in addition to calculated doses of other foods.
Diets based on MILUPA OS 2-SECUNDA must meet the daily requirement of energy, essential fatty acids, isoleucine, methionine, threonine and valine.
When used in addition to beverages, do not exceed the maximum concentration of 10g per 100ml.
