Mepilex® Absorbent Foam Dressing is recognized worldwide for the treatment of a wide range of acute and chronic wounds. The product is easily conformable and highly absorbent to effectively manage wound exudate.

Each Mepilex® dressing includes the original Safetac® adhesive silicone contact layer, which minimizes pain. Thus, it can be removed easily without damaging the skin. This means less pain for patients. Safetac® also seals the edges of the wound to protect the skin from leaking and maceration.

The different formats and sizes of Mepilex® guarantee its versatility. A Mepilex® foam dressing can easily be cut to meet a particular need, such as when treating wounds in difficult-to-dress areas of the body.

When to use Mepilex®

Mepilex® has been designed for the management of a wide range of low to moderately exuding wounds. Mepilex® can be customized by cutting it to fit a wound or area of the body. This makes it ideal for difficult-to-dress areas. It is possible to use Mepilex with Tubifast ™ fixation.

How to use Mepilex®

Always clean the wound before applying the dressing. The dressing should protrude from the wound bed at least 2 cm into the surrounding skin. Use Tubifast when fastening is required.
