All-in-one antimicrobial foam dressing for moderately to heavily exuding wounds.

Mepilex® Border Ag silver all-in-one foam dressing offers rapid and sustained antimicrobial action to reduce the microbial load in the wound. The multipurpose design allows it to be used on moderate to highly exuding acute and chronic wounds, such as foot and leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, malignant wounds, partial thickness burns, surgical wounds and traumatic wounds.

Mepilex® Border Ag is able to inactivate pathogenic wound microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) within 30 minutes, as demonstrated by in vitro tests. An international consensus document states that antimicrobial action is indicated to help reduce the microbial load in infected wounds. In addition, it acts as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or reinfection.

The design of Mepilex® Border Ag includes Safetac® , the original adhesive silicone contact layer that minimizes pain. This means less pain for patients when changing dressing.

Safetac® is the original adhesive silicone contact layer that minimizes pain. When to use Mepilex® Border Ag

Mepilex Border Ag is indicated for the management of moderately to highly exuding wounds such as foot and leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, malignant wounds, partial thickness burns, surgical wounds and traumatic wounds where they are indicated a moist environment, exudate management, gentle fixation and antimicrobial action. Mepilex Border Ag can be used on infected wounds as part of a treatment regimen under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner.

How to use Mepilex® Border Ag
