Primary foam contact layer for transferring exudate to a secondary dressing

Mepilex® Transfer is an exudate transfer foam layer designed to be used as a primary wound contact dressing. Its structure drains exudate from the wound, transferring fluid to a secondary absorbent dressing. This combination of dressings keeps the wound environment moist. Mepilex® Transfer is soft, thin and extremely comfortable. This makes it easy to keep the dressing in contact with the wound surface and the periwound skin, even in areas that are uncomfortable or difficult to dress. Thanks to Safetac® , the original silicone adhesive contact layer that minimizes pain, the dressing gently adapts its shape to the skin surface without sticking to the moist wound. It can thus be removed easily without damaging the surrounding skin. This means less pain for your patients. It also seals the edges of the wound to protect the skin from leaking exudate and maceration.
